Job Description
The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations and supervise a team of 3 staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration. The Controller will work closely with various departments and their staffs, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ensure monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain chart of accounts and an orderly accounting system
- Assist external accounting firm in annual tax preparation
- Analyze daily and weekly financial and operating metrics
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of applicable experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Motivated and driven to grow with the company
- CPA or public accounting experience, a plus
