Job Summary
The Lead Interior Designer will be a part of a busy and compact design team.  You will be a naturally creative person with a passion for interior design, architecture, and event design and have a proven track record. The key focus will be to lead innovative, creative interior design projects for a wide range of typologies.
We are currently seeking an energetic, talented, and driven individual with experience in high-end contemporary Architecture and Interior Design. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple interior and architecture design assignments simultaneously.
  • Ensure quality control at every state of the design and production process.
  • Participate in new business development efforts.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide support to the team members.
  • Identifies and fully understands the client scope of work.
  • Communicates and works with clients throughout the entire interior design process.
  • Sources interior finishes, hard and soft furnishings, lighting, and interior details.
  • Creates and executes design concepts, interior detail drawings and presentation materials.
  • Reviews finish schedules and keeps organized records of all project details.
  • Ensures accurate and timely order placements and ongoing management.
  • Maintains an overall luxury experience by supporting clients with expertise and courtesy.
  • Tracks project time daily and completes projects on schedule and within established budgets.
  • Coordinates and ensures construction needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Ensures project work is accurately recorded, billable time is documented, and reviews bi-monthly or monthly invoices prior to client. Invoice review with clients as needed.

Qualifications/Skills
  • The Lead Interior Designer must have superior presentation and communication skills, both in verbal and written form, as well as be able to take direction and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong graphics, digital modeling, ACAD and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of and experience in integrated architectural and interior design projects is a large plus.
  • Excellent aesthetic sensibilities, design and technical.
  • Strong artistic skills, including hand-rendering and sketching capabilities.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to draft graphically appealing presentation documents. Includes creation of design concept narratives all the way though to final specifications.
  • Lead projects, support and analysis, presentations, reporting, industry research.
  • Proven work experience with Architectural and Interior Design Firms.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of Revit, Rhino, 3D Studio Max, V-ray is a plus.
  • Experience sourcing, selecting, and specifying interior finishes – CMF (Colors, Materials & Finishes) & FF&E (Furniture Finishes and Equipment)
  • Passionate about design and how this strategically impact on user’s experience, product development, technology innovation, brand building and overall value creation for the client.
  • Strong graphic design sensibility.  
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluent in English. (Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian are a plus.)

Education/Experience
  • Bachelors or master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design/Architecture program.
  • 8+ years’ experience.
