Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Tool room Dept.

 

Function:
The role of the Tooling Maintenance Technician is to maintain tooling and equipment in a safe operating condition, execute a preventative maintenance program, and perform minor repairs to address immediate operational concerns.

 

Responsibilities:
Follows policies and procedures that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Skill in effective oral and written communication.
Ability to operate equipment and use hand tools.
Inspects ground support equipment and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety
Identify and perform minor repairs to address immediate operational concerns
Perform preventative maintenance to avoid interruption of production and to minimize
unnecessary downtime
Maintain documents and records as assigned
Ability to read technical instructions

 

Working Conditions:
Physical Effort:
Able to walk, stand, bend, and kneel throughout the course of daily activities
Ability to ascend and descend stairs
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Execute the Preventive Maintenance duties and Periodic Inspections to ensure tools are available and serviceable.

Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned

Education
High School Diploma
Experience
Experience (or sufficient training) equivalent to demonstrate performance of essential
duties and responsibilities listed above
Two years of experience in a similar position is preferred
Production / manufacturing experience is desired
Competencies & Attributes
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc…)
Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral
Interpersonal skills using good judgment, patience and courtesy
Ability to learn
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Licensure/Certification
Ability to obtain ITAR Clearance
Obtain company forklift certification within 30 days from date of hire
