Outside sales position

  • Responsibilities include
    • Communication and phone skills to qualify leads
    • Schedule and keep track of appointments and communicate this information within the office 
    • Meet with homeowners at varying times in home and discuss with them their needs and evaluate to see what services we can provide
    • Indoor and outdoor measuring and project estimating
    • Provide quick turnaround on quotes for customers and communicate project information possibly with additional meetings to discuss details of jobs
    • Independently follow up with customers at regular intervals with methods to try to close sales that are not immediately achieved. 
    • Find and bring in sources of leads to supplement sales as needed 
    • Work with project manager and other salespersons to find and build jobs that fit our goals
    • Write detailed contracts for sales completed 
    • Order materials for jobs sold
    • Provide detailed work orders for crews for jobs sold 
  • Sales Management 
    • Reporting directly to Owners
    • Reporting to Project Manager with sold projects 
    • Some Sales training would be provided with some general construction knowledge or similar experience preferred 
  • Skills
    • Microsoft outlook, Microsoft word, excel
    • Detail oriented 
  • Local commuting required 
    • Average 50-150 miles day 
    • Max area less than 1 hour from Office 
  • Compensation
    • Salary + commission 
    • Bonus available
  • Goals
    • Attain and build projects that fit within our capabilities 
    • Grow referral business and develop strong customer relationships 
    • Work within the existing structure of the company to transition into a lead sales position
  • Typical day 
    • Complete 1-3 in Home appointments
    • Produce written quotes for completed appointments with quick turnaround
    • Review Incoming leads and schedule 
  • Typical week 
    • Complete 6-15 quotes and in-home presentations 
    • Meet sales goals for completed appointments
    • Order materials and complete work orders for sold jobs 
    • Review completed leads and look for opportunities 
    • Set up schedule for upcoming week 

  • 50k annual salary + 3% commission + bonus
  • Health insurance offered 

Sick days
  • 3 sick days will be offered for the first year

Vehicle use 
  • Position requires use of personal vehicle
  • Vehicle to be maintained in good working condition and appearance at all times 
  • Insurance to be carried on vehicle at all times and proof of insurance provided

  • Cell provided, position requires knowledge of basic setup and maintenance

  • A laptop and tablet will be provided, position requires knowledge of basic setup and maintenance of these
