A&P Mechanic- Philadelphia, PA 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Certifies the airworthiness of assigned aircraft in conformance with the Federal Air Regulations, manufacture’ s bulletins and service notes, as well as airworthiness directives and department regulations.

Conduct ‘ s periodic aircraft inspections in accordance with prescribed requirements, notes and corrects defects and make appropriate entries in logs, records, check lists and reports.
Makes appropriate repairs, modifications, adjustments and replacements to aircraft in response to Airworthiness Directives, manufacture’ s service bulletins as required.
Investigates, analyzes and corrects reported and apparent malfunctions in all aircraft and engine systems and components.
Assures proper lubrication and servicing of aircraft in accordance with manufacturer’ s
instructions as required.
Requisition parts, supplies and equipment and maintains parts inventory and records of parts used, parts due for replacement and related documentation.
Disassembles, inspects, and overhauls airframe components and performs minor engine repairs at specified intervals.
Maintains records of all inspections, discrepancies, replacements, airworthiness directives, service bulletin compliance, component history and daily status of aircraft.
Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with factory, manufacturing, and supplier representatives, engineering staff and FAA inspectors regarding the maintenance, repairs, performance, and serviceability of parts and equipment.
Follow maintenance manual guidelines, diagrams and schematics to ensure testing and repairs are performed in accordance with FAA requirements and procedures
Maintain and update records for each work order.
May accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and to determine and record required post-flight repair work.
Participate actively in productivity and quality improvement programs.
Function as a key member of a highly motivated, high performing team.

Maintain currency and competency in skill sets.
Comply with all mandatory programs; i.e., FOD Program, Tool Control Program, etc.
Work as a key member of a high performing team dedicated on providing state-of-the art quality installations.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
+5  years recent relevant experience inspecting, overhauling, maintaining, and certifying turbine helicopters.
FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification is preferred but not mandatory.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that has equipped the
applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position will be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants experienced in Agusta Westland helicopters.
Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
 

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Ability to move and lift 50 pounds during aircraft and component maintenance.
Valid driver’ s license.
Previous relevant field experience with Agusta Westland AW109, AW119, and AW139 helicopters a plus. Will also consider similar type helicopters such as Bell 206, 407, 222, 230/430, 212/412 and Eurocopter EC 120, 130, 135, 145 and AS 350, 365, and other similar helicopters.

Previous relevant experience with the Rolls Royce, Pratt and Whitney, and Turbomeca turbine
engines.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to pass standard drug urinalysis test prior to start date.
Must be able to read and write English.
Must provide tools, except those specifically required for individual model of aircraft to be maintained.
